Beau, the four year old Poodle who arrived at the Home in a shocking state, underwent surgery to correct his luxating patellas earlier this week.
“The operation is straight forward with few complications. Beau is still in hospital care so he can remain quiet and comfortable, but next week I think he’ll be ready to go to his foster home,” said Dr Alan Bolton, who performed the surgery.
“His recovery is going well and he’s shown himself to be a gentle, sweet and above all friendly chap.”
Beau will be fostered next week, after which we will have a better idea of what type of home he will be most suited to. At this stage we are unable to accept any adoption enquiries for him, however we will continue to post updates on www.dogshome.com.
Care and surgery for Beau, as well as many other dogs and cats, is only made possible through donations to The Lost Dogs’ Home.
