Browse online or call us on (03) 9329 2755, to discuss our dogs and cats available for adoption. You are also welcome to visit us to see which animals are available for adoption.

Tip: you will find that we tend to have more animals available towards the end of the week.

Please note that during busy times, (generally Thursday to Saturday), the adoption process may take up to one hour.

Our Veterinary Staff will explain the needs of your newly adopted pet as well as discuss any concerns you may have.

Cost

• Dogs: adults $275, pups $290 (under 6 months old)
• Cats: adults $95, kittens $170

All animals are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and vet checked. Dogs are also heartworm checked, and cats FIV tested.

Receive a discount on your adoption fees

If you complete The Lost Dogs' Home's Pet Licence 101 online quiz, you are eligible to receive up to $30 off adoption fees from our North Melbourne shelter. Simply bring in your completion certificate when you adopt your new pet. The Lost Dogs' Home is committed to educating the community about responsible pet ownership issues and ensuring its animals are adopted into good homes with well informed owners.

• Monday - Thursday:     10:00am - 5.45pm
• Friday:                            10:00am - 4:45pm
• Saturday:                        9:00am - 3.30pm
• Sunday:                           9.00am - 12.30pm
